How does nero divergent travel work

Quick answer

Nero Divergent Travel starts with a paid video call where we talk about what you want, what you need and what you want to avoid. You then get a free, no-obligation quote. You can choose a Personalised Travel Plan (£170) or the Concierge Package (£295), or take what we have worked out and book it yourself.

How Nero Divergent Travel Actually Works,

From First Message to Coming Home

I get asked the same question almost every week: “What do you actually do?”

Most people have never worked with a travel planner before, let alone one who specialises in neurodivergent travel. So I want to walk through exactly what happens when someone reaches out, step by step, no jargon, no surprises.

How people find me

Most people land here in one of a few ways. Some find me through an article, this one included, or one of the others I write about ADHD, autism, ARFID, and travel. Some hear me on my podcast, “Travel That Fits You.”

Some are sent over by a friend who’s already booked. A few found me through a Facebook or LinkedIn post that finally put into words something they’ve been feeling for years: that travel wasn’t built with their brain in mind.

However someone arrives, the first step is always the same.

Step 1: The video call, wants, needs, and avoids

I charge for this because I value my time, just as much as your time. My level of experience and knowledge, and my personal understanding of Neurodivergents. First, we have a proper video call. This is where the real planning starts, and it runs on three questions I ask every single client:

Three questions sound simple, but they change everything.

“Want” is the dream version of the trip.

“Need” is the non-negotiable stuff, safe foods, rest days, sensory considerations, mobility, routine.

“Avoid” is just as important: the overcrowded resort, the back-to-back itinerary, the unpredictable transfer times that send anxiety through the roof.

By the end of this call, I’m not guessing. I know what your trip actually needs to look like to work for you, not for an average traveller who doesn’t exist.

This call ends with a FREE quote, no obligation, so you can see real numbers before deciding anything.

Step 2: Choosing your level of support

Once you’ve seen the quote, there are three ways to go, and which one is right depends entirely on how much you want off your plate.

Personalised Travel Plan / Itinerary, £170 This is the full tailored plan. Every detail mapped to your wants, needs, and avoids: accommodation, pacing, rest days, transfers, the lot. You walk away with a complete itinerary built around you, not how a brochure assumes you should.

Concierge Package, £295 Everything in the Travel Plan, plus support that doesn’t stop once you’ve booked. That means 24/7 access to me during your trip, so if something shifts, a flight changes, a venue turns out to be louder than expected, you’re not solving it alone in a foreign country. It also means that if things genuinely aren’t working once you’re there, I can help arrange to bring you home early. That safety net matters more than almost anything else I offer, because for a lot of neurodivergent travellers, the fear of being stuck somewhere overwhelming with no way out is the single biggest reason they don’t book at all.

Or go elsewhere, if you feel that another company can give you what you want better, you are free to seek other services. You are not obligated to stay or book with me. You are welcome to come at any time.

The part I want people to actually hear

You can book your trip through me, or you can take everything we’ve worked out together and book it yourself, elsewhere, cheaper, directly, however you like. I will never make you feel boxed in.

That’s not me being casual about my own business.. It’s about making sure you’re heard, properly, by someone who isn’t going to sigh when you ask for the third time about the noise level of a hotel lobby. Whatever you decide, and however you choose to book, you’ll have been listened to the entire way through.

Travel should adapt to the person. Not the person adapting to travel. That’s true whether you book with me or not, but I’d love the chance to help you get there.

Questions and answers

Do I have to book my holiday through you?

No. You can book through me, or take everything we have planned together and book it yourself, wherever you like.

What are “wants, needs and avoids”?

Wants are your dream version of the trip. Needs are the non-negotiables, like safe foods, rest days and sensory needs. Avoids are the things that make travel harder, like crowded resorts or unpredictable transfers.
